The Los Angeles Angels held outfielder Josh Hamilton out of yesterday’s weekend finale against the Milwaukee Brewers, but he is expected to return to the team’s starting lineup as the Halos begin a seven-game homestand today, according to Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com. Hamilton has been dealing with discomfort in his left shoulder as well as migraine headaches. The soreness in his shoulder has subsided, and his migraines are no longer bothering him, meaning the Angels are hoping to get him back into their starting lineup today. After being used as the Angels’ designated hitter for the entirety of their three-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays last week, Hamilton was sidelined for the weekend set against the Brewers. DH wasn’t an option, considering the games were played in Milwaukee, and Hamilton’s shoulder was sore enough that he couldn’t play the field with confidence. Yesterday, Hamilton was able to throw for coaches and show that his shoulder was feeling back to normal. While he said he felt up to rejoining the lineup and taking the field yesterday, manager Mike Scioscia opted to give him one more day of rest. He did wind up entering the game as a pinch-hitter in the seventh, reaching on an intentional walk and scoring from first base. Follow @mlbinjurynews Looking for fantasy baseball advice?

Los Angeles Angels – Weekly Wrap

LA Angels (@Angels) Despite reports that the Angels will replace either manager Mike Scioscia or GM Jerry Dipoto, the club pulled off its first sweep since June against Seattle over the weekend. Although, the Angels’ season has been over for some time now but when the Halos play like they did on Thursday against the Rays, you have to wonder, is this type of performance what could...

Clutch Shuck Drives Angels To Sweep Of Brewers

I should be happy whenever the Angels win. Actually I should be ecstatic. But truth be told I’m more frustrated by the Angels road domination the last nine games. Like in need of Cialis frustrated. Too much? Where was this two months ago when it could have mattered? Where was this a month ago when they could have made some noise in the Wild Card race? Where was it? As recently...

(AP) -- Garrett Richards worked around a career-high seven walks over five innings and Erick Aybar drove in four runs, helping the Los Angeles Angels beat the Tampa Bay Rays 11-2 on Monday night. Richards (5-6) gave up a run and two hits while striking out six in the opener of a four-game series. The seven walks matched Richards' total from his previous five...

Kyle Lohse looks to improve record against Angles

The Los Angeles Angels' last loss in Milwaukee came more than 16 years ago. Giving the ball to C.J. Wilson may just keep it that way. Unbeaten for nearly two months, Wilson looks to help the Angels beat the Brewers for an eighth straight meeting as the visitor Sunday. Los Angeles (62-72) hasn't lost in Milwaukee since May 11, 1997, when the Brewers were a member of the AL...

Billy Hamilton: Trade target for the Mets

Eric Young has quickly developed himself as a fan favorite in New York and it has become clear that fans love a speedster on the bases, so why not the fastest baserunner on the planet? Billy Hamilton set a MLB record for most steals in a season with 155 in 2012 and has stolen over 70 bases this season. He also bats from both sides and can play shortstop as well as any outfield...

Richards walks but Angels roll, trounce Rays 11-2

The Angels are on a roll. A fun, enjoyable but ultimately meaningless roll. The bats stayed hot as the Angels got key contributions from different sources once again. This time it was Erick Aybar producing runs and making me forget what a terrible idea it is for him to be batting second. Even Peter Bourjos overcame his wrist problems enough to reach base three times. The real...

Angels find late success against Brewers in 5-3 win.

The Angels have capped off a marvelous road trip with a sweep of the Brewers, a swept that wouldn't have happened had it not been for one J.B Shuck and an expertly placed first base bag. C.J Wilson wasn't all too bad in his start, though he wasn't anything spectacular as he was able to barely make 6 innings while giving up 3 runs (2 earned). In a shocking turn of events...
