A’s outfielder Josh Reddick said he won’t play in Tuesday’s series opener against the Angels in Anaheim due to a sprained wrist suffered Sunday against the Astros.
The bearded one injured the wrist on a scary crash with a wall in foul territory in Houston that looked far worse than X-rays later revealed it to be.
Reddick confirmed being out of Tuesday’s lineup to 95.7 The Game. He said the injury has shown improvement over the past two days and that a stint on the DL shouldn’t be necessary. He hopes to be back in the lineup on Wednesday.

When A’s second baseman Scott Sizemore went out of Tueday’s game with the Angels with an apparently left leg injury, there was some worry about that being the same leg on which he had ACL surgery last year.
