Thursday night against the Philadelphia Phillies, Miami's Juan Pierre became just the 14th player in Major League Baseball history to steal 600 bases. He is the ninth-fastest to reach the mark, doing so in 1,907 games. In addition, he is the eighth player since 1920 with 1,000 runs, 2,000 hits and 600 steals. Others on the list include Hall of Famers Rickey Henderson, Joe Morgan and Lou Brock. Here's some of the many congratulatory messages that came in via Twitter. Congrats to my boy @jpbeastmode , 600 steals... That's a bad man! Giancarlo Stanton (@Giancarlo818) May 2, 2013Big shout out to @jpbeastmode 600 and still running. Like Jay-Z say "I used to run the bases like Juan Pierre" congrats next up 1000 Tom Koehler (@TKREFRESH22) May 3, 2013So pumped for @jpbeastmode for 600... Hardest working ball player I have ever seen, a great teammate and most of all a great Christian! Steve Cishek (@srSHREK31) May 3, 2013Congratulations to a true professional, Juan Pier...
