Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Justin Upton left Tuesday's game after being hit in the face with the ball.
Upton suffered the injury in the 10th inning when a shot by A.J. Ellis of the Los Angeles Dodgers caromed off the fence and hit Upton in the face. He was taken out of the game as a precaution.
It has been a rough week for Upton, who was hit on the bill of his helmet by a pitch in Sunday's game. He is batting .290 with 31 homers and 88 RBI this season.
The Diamondbacks have clinched the National League West and are headed to the postseason.
