Tigers ace Justin Verlander was the posterboy for the 2011 season after taking home the American League Most Valuable Player and Cy Young awards. Those accolades landed him on the cover of the MLB 2k12 video game cover.
Of course being on the cover means that you get your own commercials. And getting your own commercials means that you get to do some quirky things. Does Verlander have what it takes to be a ninja? Big things are expected of the Tigers after their Shamu-sized splash of a signing with Prince Fielder. Verlander will be counted on to have another solid season. Expecting another MVP season is too much to ask, but JV should be counted on to again be one of the league's best.
