A few months back, shortly after signing with the Detroit Tigers, Torii Hunter made the controversial statement that it would be “difficult and uncomfortable” having an openly gay teammate. But the truth of the matter is pretty simple, there are gay players in MLB locker rooms as we speak, just as there are throughout collegiate and professional sports.
