As per the Kansas City Star: “Royals reliever Robinson Tejeda was placed on the 15-day disabled list due to inflammation in his right shoulder. The move was made retroactive to Wednesday. The Royals have recalled Blake Wood from Omaha. Over three appearances and five innings for the Storm Chasers, Wood had eight strikeouts, two walks and had allowed two hits and no runs. Tejeda was 0-1 with a 5.06 ERA.” The news comes just days after Kansas City Star correspondent Bob Dutton’s report that Tejeda will no longer be the primary set-up man to Royals closer Joakim Soria. That decision should not come as too much of a surprise considering the emergence of quality young arms available to Ned Yost out of the bullpen. Hopefully Tejeda can recover swiftly and get back to providing plenty of quality relief appearances in 2011, however, if there was a position on this roster that Kansas City can afford to lose somebody to an injury from, it is definitely the bullpen.  Guys lik...
