So, yeah...I know what you're thinking. What do you get the All-Star reliever that just inked a three-year, $27 million contract with the Miami Marlins?Answer...a Benihana grill in his backyard, dummy.Check out this backyard that Heath Bell had custom-made for his family. I'm pretty sure the patio area is bigger than most places I've called "home".I can tell...

Is Carmona Done With The Cleveland Indians

Today the Indians placed Fausto Carmono on the restricted list. Is the the beginning of the end of Carmona in a Cleveland Indians uniform?  Carmona has been a fixture in Cleveland since the Tribe signed the 17 year old who turns out to be 20 at the time of his signing. Miami Marlins: Mark and Jamie Buehrle going to bat for pit bulls

New Marlins left-hander Mark Buehrle could have just quietly settled his family in Broward County and washed his hands of it. Yet Buehrle and his wife, Jamie, felt strongly enough about Miami-Dade County’s pit bull ban to do something about it for their rescued dog, Slater, and other owners of the breed. The Buehrles have launched a campaign on change.org to gather signatures in...

Top 10 Reasons the Tribe still contends in 2012

Prince Fielder (Photo: AP)Well, with the signing of Prince Fielder the Detroit Tigers certainly sent a shot across the bow to the Cleveland Indians for the 2012 season and beyond. But in reality that is all it was, a warning shot.Yes, the Tigers are a major favorite to win the division now, but just ask the Boston Red Sox if throwing a bunch of money around in the offseason is any...

Pressing Questions: The Cleveland Indians

When the Cleveland Indians acquired Ubaldo Jimenez at the deadline last season, they trailed Detroit by just a game and a half in the American League Central. It was an aggressive move, no doubt, as the Tribe sent four prospects to the Rockies, including highly regarded pitchers Drew Pomeranz and Alex White. But the team was within range of the Tigers, so they played to win the...

Offseason Spotlight: Mike Rayl and Matt Packer

Mike Rayl (Photo: IPI)I have to confess: I’m a sucker for left-handed pitchers. It has nothing to do with any great disdain for right-handed pitchers or any real reason whatsoever other than the fact I have always loved watching a baseball game when a lefty is thrown on the hill. With the game so right-handed dominated, it is like watching the game through a mirror as everything...
