That would be the Rockie killing Chad Tracy, who in 261 career ABs against Colorado has a ridiculous .349-16-47 statline, not Jim Tracy’s son Chad Tracy, whom you may remember from his spring training grand slam against Colorado with the Texas Rangers. Former manager Clint Hurdle intentionally walked the batter in front of Jim’s son to ensure he’d see his son bat.  As would be the case with nearly all of Hurdle’s decisions in 2009, it backfired.  And as would be the case when all of Hurdle’s decisions backfired in 2009, Jim Tracy and his family benefited. Oddly enough...
