Alright, I was willing to give Hart the benefit of the doubt, but it is getting a bit ridiculous. Kevin Hart started today in a game against the Philadelphia Phillies' single-A players. His stat line: 3.1 IP, 2 R, 4 H, 2 K, 4 BB.I think it is now at the point where the Pirates really need to send Hart to AAA to begin the year. If there was anything a player could do to lose a job, he has done it.The decision to send Hart down also is becoming easier because the other 5th starter candidate, Dan McCutchen continues to pitch well. Today in a minor league game against the Phillies' AAA team, DCutch pitched four scoreless innings.At this point, McCutchen has done just about everything you could ask him to do and deserves the job. He has done nothing but out-perform Hart all spring (and all of last season).
