After appearing in just 32 games for the St. Louis Cardinals in 2012 due to several knee and leg injuries, former St. Louis Cardinals outfielder and first baseman Lance Berkman has found a home to play baseball in 2013.
Berkman has signed a one year contract with the Texas Rangers to DH and play first base occasionally, a role that fits his 37 year old body perfectly at this stage in his career.
As explained in the video blog below, Berkman has earned this one last shot and deserves thanks from Cardinals fans for what he was able to help the organization accomplish during his time in St. Louis.
