A lawsuit filed Wednesday in San Francisco Superior Court alleges that Giants star pitcher Tim Lincecum trashed his old apartment. (Before we continue: alleges is, as always, a critical word here.)
Mindy Freile, the landlord at 141 Hampshire Street, filed a lawsuit against Lincecum, alleging that he stole and destroyed $200,000 worth of household items from his old apartment in San Francisco, according to Matthew Artz of the San Jose Mercury-News.
Her lawsuit claims that Lincecum "broke, stained, defaced, tore, injured or destroyed" property at the address where he leased and apartment.
"My belief is there was some kind of party that left it in really bad condition," Freile's attorney Jonathan Bonstein said. "Maybe there's a perfectly good explanation on his side, but we haven't heard it yet."
The lawsuit demands $350,000 from Lincecum and says that he continued to stay at the apartment through May 13, even though is lease expired on February 28.
