Wedding photos of Lenny Dykstra and Tony Soprano breaking bread?  Sign me up!The embattled former big leaguer's son Cutter can now add "Jamie-Lynn Sigler's fiance" to the adjectives preceding his name. The 23-year-old infielder popped the question over the weekend and, naturally, he and his new bride-to-be ran to Twitter to tell their legion of followers.  The pair was introduced by mutual friend (and fellow ball player) Nick Swisher."Jamie couldn't be happier. Cutter is the perfect guy for her," a friend of the couple told US Weekly. "Although they have only been together for a year, they both know that this is it for both of them. They are both on cloud nine as are their families and friends."Cutter Dykstra spent last year with the Washington Nationals Single-A affiliate, the Hagerstown Suns.  He hit .291 and swiped 32 bases.  Sigler, of course, played Tony Soprano's daughter Meadow for six seasons on, you guessed it..."The Sopranos".Perhaps, the younger Dykstra can get in on his fiance's former ficticious family business and whack some of the fellas out to get his pops?

Just a little photo of Gio Gonzalez with Jimmy Goins, so what?

Up above, the pic Gio posted on Instagram back in November with "My offseason strength coach Jimmy Goins." To be honest, liked the photos of Gio posing with Sweet Brown in Oklahoma City a few weeks ago much better, and the ensuring yet short-lived #GioHangingWith meme. Goins, a conditioning coach at University of Miami, is also featured prominently in the Miami New Times...

Cutter Dykstra and girlfriend Jamie-Lynn Sigler are now engaged. Both Dykstra and Sigler tweeted on Monday afternoon to share the good news. “So this just happened” Sigler wrote, including a few hearts in her tweet. “She said yes!!” Cutter wrote. The two have been dating since at least last March and met through mutual friends Nick Swisher, and his wife, actress Joanna...

Ian Desmond - regression candidate?

I participated Sunday night in my first ever fantasy mock draft with the folks from MLB Dirt and others noted for their skills in that realm. As such, I was a bit of a saltwater fish trying to adapt to a freshwater pond. I was pretty high on my shortstop, Ian Desmond, until I started to dig this morning into his numbers a little more closely. Once I did, his 2012 numbers looked...

Say it ain't so, Gio!

Uh oh. Via the Miami NewTimes, Gio Gonzalez has been linked (along with Alex Rodriguez and Nelson Cruz) to a PED doctor in Miami: There's also the curious case of Gio Gonzalez, the 27-year-old, Hialeah-native, left-handed hurler who won 21 games last year for the Washington Nationals. Gonzalez's name appears five times in Bosch's notebooks, including a specific...

Gio Gonzalez Responds to PED Allegations, Says He’s Never Used Them and Never Will

Gio Gonzalez has taken to Twitter to refute the controversial Miami New Times article. The article, which was published on Tuesday, is based on records that the Miami New Times reports were obtained from an anti-aging clinic in Miami that allegedly distributed performance-enhancing substances to a number of MLB players. Gonzalez was reportedly among the players whose names appeared...

A year after being sandbagged by asinine Washington Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo, flamethrower Stephen Strasburg is ‘champing at the bit’ for this season

Expressing disappointment for being wrongly shelved by bush league Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo, Washington flamethrower Stephen Strasburg is salivating for the start of spring training and pitching without restrictions in 2013. Despite being entirely healthy, Strasburg (15-6, 3.16 ERA), who has compiled a 21-10 record with a 2.94 ERA and 313 strikeouts since debuting with...

Nationals' Stephen Strasburg ready to pitch again

Stephen Strasburg was none too happy with his innings limit and eventual shut down last season.  However, the Washington Nationals did not want to take any chances with Strasburg's surgically-reparied right elbow.  He made his last start of the 2012 season on September 7th, and with having an extra month off, he is understandably "champing at the bit." According...

Untucking Shirts in the Nation’s Capital: Impact of Nationals’ Soriano Signing

photo courtesy of: Keith Allison The Washington Nationals’ signing of Rafael Soriano proves they mean business for 2013.  As many fantasy owners out there remember from 2012, the Nationals started their season with Drew Storen set to be their closer until he was sidelined and required surgery to remove bone fragments from his throwing elbow.  The Nationals’ wound up giving...

We can all roll our eyes and give baseball’s PED problem a big ol’ [wanking motion], but when it involves one of the Nationals current best players, there’s cause for concern. And that’s what happened this morning with the release of an extensive report from the Miami New Times about a recently-defunct Miami clinic called Biogenesis, in which Gio Gonzalez is linked to PEDs...
