Batter's Box:
Tim Linceum wins a very close vote to take home his second Cy Young Award.
Linceum's 100 points edged out Chris Carpenter (94) and Adam Wainwright (90). Linceum and Wainwright were named on all 32 ballots, with Wainwright actually polling more first-place votes (12 to 11) than Lincecum. Will Carroll and Keith Law left Carpenter off their ballots: Carroll cast a third-place vote for Dan Haren, and Law placed Javier Vazquez second. That one vote meant Vazquez finished fourth in the balloting, and was worth a $70,000 bonus to Vazquez.Frank Wren would like a word, Keith.
