PHOENIX -- Matt Lindstrom, the newest Diamondback, got a good look at the D-backs last season and liked what he saw. The feeling might not have been mutual. Lindstrom did not give up a run in seven appearances while with the Rockies. Watching what this team did and watching the run they went on and just the type of baseball and the product they put on the field was very impressive. I think we can get back to that very soon, said Lindstrom, acquired from the Orioles for left-hander Joe Saunders on Sunday. Lindstrom was 2-2 with a 3.00 ERA in 63 appearances with Colorado last season, the best ERA of his career, and is on pace better that this year. He had a 2.72 ERA in 34 appearances with Baltimore. He likes the West, and he believes the experience in the NL West could work in his favor. Ive pitched in these parks before. That will serve me a little bit. Not going out there surprised with the different venues and stuff like that. I know there are a couple of hitters parks and a couple of pitchers parks. But I like it out here better. Im a little biased, said Lindstrom, from Rexburg, Idaho. The D-backs are his fifth major league team, and it may not be a long stay. Lindstrom has a 4 million option with a 200,000 buyout for 2013, and it seems almost certain that the D-backs will not pick up the option. We all know that being in the bullpen can be a little volatile at times. Also, I keep reminding myself its nice to be wanted. Other teams are filling needs. Im just looking forward to meshing with the guys in the bullpen and contributing any way I can. I know it sounds clich, but I just want to help the team win games, Lindstrom said. Lindstrom is 13-15 with a 3.68 ERA and 45 saves in his career, getting 15 saves with Florida in 2009 and 23 saves with Houston in 2010.

Josh Rutledge Took A Big Step

I love finding players on the waiver wire and watching their ownership percentage grow. It’s one of the best parts about fantasy sports for me. To see a guy go from .05% owned when you pick him up to 100% is a feeling comparable to when my dog sat for the first time on command. My favorites are the players who don’t even have bio pictures when you first pick them up. Michael...
