The Cardinals have tabbed Lohse to start their one-game, winner-take-all wild card showdown against the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field. And it says something about the season hes had that Lohse was selected even though Wainwright was available and deserving of consideration as well.
Lohse went 16-3 with a 2.86 ERA in 33 starts for the Cardinals this season. He allowed more than three earned runs in just five starts all season and was easily their most consistent starter from the seasons start to finish.
