Associated Press is reporting that closer Brian Fuentes and the Los Angeles Angels have reached an agreement on a two-year deal just minutes ago.Fuentes will get $17.5 million over the two seasons, and there is a club option for $9 million in 2011.The 33-year-old Fuentes will replace K-Rod for the Halos and take over as closer. The three-time NL All-Star, was 1-5 with 30 saves in 34 chances and a 2.73 ERA for Colorado last season, and struck out 82 batters in 63 innings pitched. What a steal for the Angels... Initially Fuentes had been looking for at least $12 million per season. He ends up signing for a little less than $9 million a year. It's a good move for the Angels who needed to do something after losing both K-Rod and Mark Teixeira to free agency.
