After two straight losses to the last place Chicago White Sox, it's hard to ignore the fact that the season is now getting away from the Yankees.  If only this fact was as innocuous as the pitch that got away from Chris Sale last night, hitting Alex Rodriguez.  However, it is not, and the Yankees are seemingly headed to their first absence from the postseason since 2008.Speaking of being hit by pitches, what happened in Washington last night was just plain stupid. In case you haven't heard about it, Bryce Harper, one of the current and future stars of the game, celebrated after hitting a home run and got plunked by Braves pitcher Julio Teheran in his next at-bat. It led to a bench clearing brawl, during which no punches were thrown. However, some cyber punches were thrown, as the social media people for both teams traded barbs on Twitter.The plunking and the Twitter fight make for an odd juxtaposition, when you think about it.
