Fox Sports Wisconsin:
The Brewers are running out of clichs to describe their hard-luck injury situation. But day after day, things continue to get worse on that front.
On Monday, a report from MLB.com's Adam McCalvy says Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy is the latest to be kept out of the lineup for an injury.
According to the report, Lucroy's wife dropped a suitcase on his hand in a bizarre accident, as he was reaching under his hotel bed for a lost sock. The injury was enough to scratch him from tonight's lineup, as backup catcher George Kottaras will start in his place. Lucroy was set to get x-rays Monday afternoon.
The injury report is getting a bit out of hand for Milwaukee lately, as major ailments have marked three players out for the season, while Marco Estrada and Cesar Izturis are on the 15-day disabled list. Meanwhile, other players, like Lucroy, Kottaras, Aramis Ramirez, and Kameron Loe have all experienced minor injuries that have kept them out of the lineup at times in the last few games.
Losing Lucroy for more than one game would be a huge loss, as the Brewers catcher is one of the hottest hitters in major league baseball. He's batting .345 with five home runs and 30 RBI this season.

It never ceases to amaze me how ridiculous and thoughtless some sports fans can be. Earlier this week, Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy suffered by far one of the most bizarre injuries of the 2012 season when a suitcase fell on his hand and left him with a fracture that will take about six weeks to heal. Lucroy said he was reaching under the bed for a sock when his wife moved the...

After breaking his hand in a freak accident that involved a falling suitcase, Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy will undergo surgery on the broken hand Thursday morning, according to team spokesman Mike Vassallo.
Lucroy was not originally expected to have surgery, as manager Ron Roenicke told reporters on Tuesday that the injury would heal on its own.
Team doctor William Raasch will...

If you haven't seen it already, Jonathan Lucroy has a bruised hand, and didn't play tonight after undergoing X-Rays Monday. Here's the weird part: Lucroy injured his hand as a result of a suitcase falling on it in his hotel room. Yes, I know this sounds like a joke, but it's not.Lucroy is, by all accounts, an honest guy, but the rather bizarre nature of his injury...
We’ve covered nearly a hundred weird injuries here at LBS, but some are so strange they still manage to shock us. What happened to Jonathan Lucroy certainly qualifies in that category.
According to MLB.com, the Brewers catcher hurt his right hand when a suitcase fell on it. Lucroy apparently was reaching for a lost sock under his hotel room bed Sunday night when his wife shifted...
Opponents have been making themselves at home at Arizona's Chase Field all season.
The Milwaukee Brewers have been doing that for years, but are encountering some resistance this weekend.
The Diamondbacks try to build on an encouraging win and take a rare series from the Brewers in the desert in Sunday's finale.
Arizona (21-26) started the season in impressive fashion...
The Milwaukee Brewers are becoming accustomed to having a new injury almost every day, but it was difficult to see this one coming. Catcher Jonathan Lucroy was scratched from the starting lineup Monday night at Los Angeles with a right hand injury suffered when a suitcase fell on it the previous evening in his hotel room. Lucroy was sent for X-rays before the series opener against...
The month of May has not been particularly kind to the Milwaukee Brewers. In this month alone they have lost starting shortstop Alex Gonzalez for the season along with starting pitcher, Chris Narveson. On top of that two first basemen, a starting outfielder and an additional pitcher have all been put on the DL in the month of May alone. However, I don't think they could...
