Ryan Ludwick is coming off a superb year in Cincinnati where he hit .275/.346/.531 with 26 home runs in 472 plate appearances. He signed a one-year $2.5mm deal which included a $5mm mutual option for â13 last offseason.
According to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com , Ludwick will decline his side of his mutual option. However, Heyman adds that the Reds and Ludwick are âvery interestedâ in working out a new deal.
Ludwick will probably hold out for a three year deal but could accept a two year deal in the right situation with the right money.
