On most nights when Roy Holladay pitches a complete game with a total of fourteen strikeouts it equals a notch in the win column, but tonight ended with the Diamondbacks recording their league leading 34th come from behind victory. Josh Collmenter had probably his best outing of the season limiting the potent Phillies lineup to two runs on eight hits striking out eight as well.
The pitching is not the story this evening, Lyle Overbay is. Overbay got the start tonight at first base for his new team. He definitely had his boom stick ready. All three of the D’Backs rbi’s came off of his bat, including the game winning two run triple hit in the bottom of the ninth. Setting up J.J. Putz for his 30th save of the season.
