Brew Crew Central:
Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Manny Para had surgery done to repair a small labral tear in his left hip. Parra went 3-10 with a 5.02 ERA in a career-high 42 appearances this season, 16 of them starts. He didn’t allow a run over his final nine appearances and he is a pitcher the Brewers need to keep and work into the rotation to see what he can do over a full season.
At times Manny Parra pitched well and you thought he would take a starter role during the season, but he never did. Parra could be a guy the Brewers may be able to put in the starting rotation. At times he pitched like a guy who could be a No.2 or No.3 starter, but other times you wonder why he was even starting. Of course you could say that about many of the Brewers starters. Hopefully, after surgery Parra can rehab and earn a starting spot in spring training.
