Will Manny Ramirez attempt a return to the majors? While we do not know the answer to that question yet we do know that Ramirez is playing in winter ball which means he has some interest in playing baseball. Ramirez attempted to make it back to the major leagues last season with the Oakland Athletics but despite hitting .308 at Triple-A  he was unable to hit for any power, finishing with two doubles, before being granted his release in June. Maybe we have not seen the last of “Manny being Manny” as the 40-year-old hit a home run in his first at-bat for Aguilas Cibaenas of the Dominican Winter League. The ball was hit to the opposite-field and resulted in the crowd chanting his name. Ramirez’s team is full of former major league stars as Miguel Tejada, Bartolo Colon, Chris Coghlan, and Cardinals prospect Oscar Taveras are also on the team. You can see a video of his home run below.
