MILWAUKEE -- Filling out their rotation for the NL Championship Series, the Milwaukee Brewers revealed Sunday that Shaun Marcum will start Monday's Game 2. "It keeps him on line better with everybody," Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said before Game 1 Sunday. "It would be between he and (Randy) Wolf and (Marcum) stays on line better." Roenicke said Saturday he planned to slot Zack Greinke for Games 1 and 5 (if necessary) and Yovani Gallardo for Games 3 and 7 (if necessary), leaving Games 2 and 4 undecided. Wolf is now scheduled for Game 4. Marcum is coming off a string of bad starts, including a loss in Game 3 of the NL Division Series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. In that start, he allowed seven runs on seven hits in 4 23 innings, but isn't thinking about that performance. "I definitely put the last (start) away," Marcum said. "That's not one you want to remember. It was pretty easy to put that one away." The Brewers were confident with Marcum starting Game 3 of the NLDS in Phoenix, as he owned the best road numbers of any Milwaukee starter in the regular season. After the way it went, he's excited to be getting a game at Miller Park. "I'm looking forward to it," Marcum said. "Obviously the road thing didn't work out last round, so hopefully things are turning around." The Cardinals' Edwin Jackson will oppose Marcum in Game 2, while Chris Carpenter will start Game 3 and Kyle Lohse against Wolf in Game 4. Wolf also struggled in the NLDS, allowing seven runs on eight hits in just three innings. Roster remains the same: The Brewers playoff roster was unchanged when submitted to Major League Baseball Sunday morning. Roenicke had considered switching out rookie infielder and left-handed hitter Taylor Green in favor of righty Josh Wilson. "We talked about that yesterday," Roenicke said. "We just felt like it was probably going to come up more often that we'd need the left-handed bat more than the right-handed." The Diamondbacks had just one lefty in their bullpen, making it easier to go with Green, but the Cardinals have two. Still, Roenicke liked going with Green, who's had more work recently than Wilson. Open game: After playing under the retractable roof at Miller Park in Game 1, 2 and 5 of the NLDS, the Brewers and Cardinals will square off in Game 1 of the NLCS with the roof open.
