Network of Champions has come up with a song parody to cover the topic of Mariano Rivera's recent season-ending injury. Borrowing the melody from Journey's classic hit "Don't Stop Believing", the new lyrics use inspiration from Rivera's promise to return next season. The end result is "Don't Stop Relievin'".

Yankees Fan Releases Mariano Rivera-Inspired 'Don't Stop Relieving' Parody Song (Video)

Mariano Rivera won't be playing any more this season, but his legacy will play on in the form of a song thanks to one enterprising Yankees fan. Journey's iconic hit "Don't Stop Believing" seems to be ripe for any and all parodies, so it should come as no surprise that it was picked for this version, entitled "Don't Stop Relieving." Fitting. It...

Mariano Rivera’s New Theme Song (Video)

There’s a new theme song in New York City. “Don’t Stop Relievin’” is the new craze in the campaign for Mariano Rivera’s return. It is well documented that the greatest reliever in MLB history and soon-to-be Hall of Famer, Mariano Rivera, was recently injured during batting practice. With the announcement that he is out for the season, came cries of “please come back...

Round and Round They Go: The Yanks Closer Dilemma

New York Yankees: Reintroducing Girardi’s binder

Joe Girardi, the current Yankees' manager (Photo credit: Wikipedia) With the devastating loss of Mariano Rivera now sinking in, which not only physically handicaps the Yankees but also mentally, skipper Joe Girardi’s job just got much harder. The good ‘old comfort of the ninth inning now feels more like a Sergio Mitre start, and no one knows this better than pitcher David...

The 9th Inning is Different, Here’s Why

When Mariano Rivera’s ACL blew out in Kansas City earlier this month it signaled the biggest blow to Yankees’ dominance since their World Series victory 1996. Instead of having a guarantee equivalent to death and taxes in the ninth inning, the Yanks were now forced to be like “everyone else” and wonder if their closer could secure the final three outs. Or were they? Enter...

Can the Yankees overcome the loss of Mariano Rivera?

These fans don't seem to be confident.

And they all lived happily…not so fast! A sharp turn in the Mariano Rivera story.

For every snarky article I’ve recently written about Roger Clemens, I’ve been determined to counteract it with a “feel good” story. As of last weekend, that story was going to be about Mariano “Mo” Rivera. For those of you living in the closet, Rivera is the greatest living (if not the all-time greatest) closer in baseball history. About two weeks ago, Rivera injured...

Fantasy Focus: What is up with the closers?

Every draft day I keep delaying taking closers and the early portion of the season has taught me that this strategy is smarter than I thought. If you sit back and take no closers on draft day, you will still have your choice of a dozen or so closers eventually. That is the number of teams that will be forced to change horses at some point in the campaign. Even Mariano...
