So … I thought tonight’s game would be a good match-up. And on paper, it was. But I forgot the troubles Yu Darvish has with the Mariners’ offense. I don’t know why they give him fits, but I’m beginning to think it’s all mental. Sigh.
Right away, Darvish struggled. Giving up four runs in the first inning. Two of them scored before he could log an out. Seattle got three more runs over the next six innings, but it really didn’t matter. That first inning was all they needed.
Felix Hernandez was at his best tonight. The Rangers couldn’t get anything going against him. Just three hits. No walks. Literally, just three hits.
I honestly don’t know what else to say about the game. It was pretty miserable to watch, and I don’t care to think about it much longer.
