The Mariners and first round draft pick Josh Fields have agreed to a deal, Jim Callis is reporting. Fields will receive 1.75 million dollars, after requesting 2 million dollars. The Mariners expect Fields to reach the majors quickly as a reliever. He combines a mid-nineties fastball with a hard curveball, which will likely be seen in Mariners big league camp next week.
