Monday’s homestand finale was similar to the previous stretch of games in that it ended with a Miami Marlins loss.   The Arizona Diamondbacks won the series with a 9-5 victory that featured poor defense by Miami.    With the loss, the Marlins fell deeper into last place in the National League East and now sit at 8-14 for the season. Mark Buehrle didn’t fare too well in this start allowing seven runs in eight innings of work.   Only four of those runs were earned due to two fielding miscues by the Marlins but the lefty was off his game for the most part regardless.  Buehrle who usually works at a rapid pace could be seen pacing around the mound and pausing between pitches several times.   Normally an efficient pitcher, Buehrle had difficulty finding the plate and threw 94 pitches in his five innings.   The loss dropped the veteran to 1-4 on the year and lifted his E.R.A to 3.34.   Daniel Jennings made his major league debut in the sixth with a scoreless inning.   Ryan Webb worked th...
