Nolasco looks to snap streak vs. Dodgers

A return to Miami seems to be just what Los Angeles' Hanley Ramirez needed to find his stroke. Ramirez looks to build on one of his best games in a Dodgers uniform and add to the misery of former teammate Ricky Nolasco on Saturday night at Marlins Park. Acquired from Miami (51-62) on July 25, Ramirez got off to a slow start with Los Angeles (61-52), batting .226 with 12 RBIs...

Ramirez is a hit in return to Miami

Since becoming a Los Angeles Dodger on July 25, Hanley Ramirez has been reticent to discuss his time in Miami with the Marlins, preferring instead to concentrate on his time with the Dodgers and looking ahead. Ramirez couldn't avoid the questions and the spotlight on Friday, though, because the Dodgers were in Miami to battle the Marlins. But Ramirez came through with three...

Marlins' Eovaldi to start series against Phillies

Cole Hamels showed in his most recent outing why the Philadelphia Phillies decided to invest in him while dealing away others during a disappointing campaign. His performances against the Miami Marlins this season haven't gone nearly as well. The left-hander looks to help end Philadelphia's five-game losing streak to the Marlins in the opener of a three-game series Monday...

Hanley Ramirez returns to Miami as a Dodger

MIAMI (AP) -- Three hours before game time, Hanley Ramirez entered the Miami Marlins' ballpark, began looking for the visitors clubhouse and nearly walked into a stadium kitchen by mistake. He had cleanup duty, but not there. Ramirez eventually found his way to his new team and was in the lineup against his old club Friday night, batting fourth for the Los Angeles Dodgers. ...

Carli Lloyd was too busy playing soccer to realize Shane Victorino had been traded

Carli Lloyd is an Olympic hero. She earned that honor by scoring both of the U.S. women’s soccer team’s goals on Thursday during their 2-1 win over Japan in the gold medal game. As we know, the London Olympics have been a very busy time for all of the athletes involved. Twitter makes it slightly easier to stay up on what’s going on in the world, but it is not always that simple...

Dodgers-Pirates Preview

Although the Los Angeles Dodgers are in a tight race to win the NL West, they would no doubt like to use this week to gain ground on the Pittsburgh Pirates in the wild-card chase. The Dodgers have won 12 of their last 14 meetings with the Pirates heading into Monday night's opener of a four-game set at PNC Park. Los Angeles (62-53) is one game behind San Francisco for the division...
