The Florida Marlins released outfielder Mike Cameron Tuesday. The move could possibly bring back Scott Cousins who is on the 60-day disabled list.
Cameron hit .239/.333/.423 since he was acquired from the Boston Red Sox in July.
It seems like more and more we are hearing of talk that Cameron is going to retire. Especially after he told the Palm Beach Post’s Joe Capozzi that, “I may be too young to quit, but my body’s telling me different. My body’s 45.”
We will see what happens in the coming days and months as the season begins to wind down.
