The Marlins ended up winning Wednesdays afternoon affair, 9-2, but this was a close game until the 8th inning. Roy Halladay pitched deep into some counts, but pitched well enough to win, save a sixth inning home run to former Phillie Greg Dobbs. 3-2 Marlins. Exit Halladay. Enter slop of a bullpen and the game. First was B.J. Roseberg, Raul Valdes and Michael Schwimmer. Rosenberg did not get an out. Valdez pitched to two batters. Schwimmer allowed more of the runs. 9-2 Marlins. In all five hits and six runs by Marlin batters in the eighth inning. Lost in the mess was that the Marlins scored for the first time in 30 innings in the bottom of the fourth. That is three games, no runs. Um, I think the last time the Marlins scored, Jimmy Carter was president. The game was won on Dobbs home run in the sixth. The slop was the Phillies bullpen in the eight. Also lost in the Phillies mess was Ty Wiggington, who hit a home run to tie the game and had two RBI. The Marlins and Phillies take turns...
