Miami Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen told Dan LeBatard on 790 The Ticket that he will use a closer-by-comittee approach to start the second half of the season.
This news comes as a result of another blown save by the volatile Heath Bell, who has blown six saves in 25 save opportunities this season. The Marlins added Bell over the off season as one of their many high priced free agent acquisitions to help bring in a new era of Marlins baseball. Unfortuneatly, Bell has struggled mightily this season with a 6.75 ERA and 5.2 walk per nine rate in 34.2 innings of work.
Steve Cishek and Randy Choate will likely join Bell as part of the committee, with Choate being used against teams with left handed batters up in the ninth.

So far, so bad: Heath Bell signing one of worst through season’s first half
Ringing nobody up
Yes, we do take some pleasure in this. I am not a Heath Bell fan. Don’t like his schtick, his demeanor, nothing really. It also didn’t help that, as a Mets fan, he trashed his time in Queens saying the Mets weren’t honest with him and he harbored a lot of hostility and blah, blah, blah. Plus, what kind of ******* does this:
So, where was I? Oh yes, the pleasure...
