Mat Gamel is one player the Milwaukee Brewers have been trying to get in the lineup, but it has been tough. He has been injured a few times, but his primary position is third base and Casey McGehee has that locked down. What to do with Mat Gamel? The Brewers have to get this guy in the lineup everyday as his numbers are decent and over a season I think they could be real good. One option I am sure the Brewers are thinking about is moving Gamel to first base once they trade Prince Fielder. I think the Brewers must move Fielder now for pitching and this will open it up for Gamel to play first base.  Gamel does not have the kind of power the Fielder has, but he is a good contact hitter and will put the ball into play. Mat Gamel maybe given his chance this year and it will be up to him to make the most of it. If the Brewers do trade Fielder look for Gamel to take that spot over unless the Brewers bring someone else in.
