Immediately after Matt Adams was initially called up and made his Major League debut, it was clear that the St. Louis Cardinals first baseman had the potential and talent to contribute in a big way.
Adams started off hot in his first couple of games in a Major League uniform. The slugger was called up when Lance Berkman went to the dsiabled list with an injured knee and immediately started hitting. Through his first ten games Adams was hitting a robust .351 with a home run and five RBI's.
But since Adams has struggled, seeing his average drop to .244. One reason Adams may be struggling is because he has seen a decrease in regular playing time as Allen Craig has been seeing his fair share of at bats at first base.
After a pair of hits in the Detroit series, Adams seems to be adjusting to the new role and says that he is starting to feel more comfortable. ...
