Matt Holliday injured his hand while getting picked off, and comes out of the game in the top of the seventh. Meanwhile, Adrian Beltre homers leading off the inning to give Texas a 5-4 lead. Texas has managed to answer every ST. Louis run with at least one in the next inning. Nelson Cruz then goes back-to-back, tying a post-season record with his eighth home run, and the Rangers lead 6-4. Update: After Mike Napoli strikes out looking, David Murphy singles to center. I’m surprised Lance Lynn is still in the game. Update: Derek Holland bunts, but Murphy is thrown out at second. The Rangers pitchers really need to work on the sacrifice. Update: Tony La Russa makes a double switch, bringing in Ryan Theriot and Octavio Dotel, the latter pitching. Update: Dotel throws a wild pitch and Holland goes to second.
