ATLANTA -- John Mayberry, Jr.'s three-run home run into the left field seats in the 10th inning sent the Phillies to an 8-5 win over the Braves in the first game of a three-game series. Charlie Manuel shook a bottle of aspirin after the game, laughing, "I've got a headache! It was a mentally tough game." Craig Kimbrel gave up a home run to Erik Kratz to lead off the ninth inning, tying the game at 5-5. It was his first blown save since July 20 and only his second blown save of the season. "I was trying to elevate on him and it didn't go high enough," Kimbrel said. "We give the ball to Craig and we've gotten spoiled over the last couple of years," manager Fredi Gonzalez said. "I'm not even quite sure what the pitch was, to tell you the truth," Mayberry, Jr. said. "I was just looking for something up in the zone out over the plate. I wasn't sure if it was going to hook foul. Luckily, it stayed true." ...
