Last night, Scott Boras, agent for Daisuke Matsuzaka, held a press conference to let the world know that he thinks his player is an elite pitcher worth $100M. With negotiations going nowhere, Boras felt he needed to sway public perception his way. The Sox believe D-Mat is also worth 100M, but feel the posting fee of 51M has to be factored into that. It's a classic case of game theory and negotiation, with both sides saying they're willing to walk away.
