Could "Mez" become the first ROY the Reds have had since '99?
Keith Law of ESPN Insider recently published a list of the "Top 20 impact prospects for 2012" (click here to read the piece in its entirety). To no surprise catcher Devin Mesoraco, who's rated by many as the top prospect in the Reds organization, made the cut coming in at no. 2. Here's what Law had to say about the team's promising backstop:

Devin Mesoraco, C | Top 100 rank -- 8: He has a job, which is something few others on this list can say, and the Reds believe in his bat enough to trade their next-best catching prospect, Yasmani Grandal, in the Mat Latos deal. Mesoraco has present 20-homer power and enough patience to be an above-average catcher in the National League right away, with the chance to be a lot more down the road.
