Bobby Livingston is a 26 yo left handed starter who has spent time in the majors with the Reds (2007) and Marniers (2006). According to Joe DeMayo of NYBD the Mets have signed him t a minor league deal with an invite to spring training. He's only appeared in 13 major league games with a 6.31 ERA but also hasn't been in the majors in two years. He spent the last two seasons bouncing around the league being claimed off waivers but never returning to the majors. In 2009 between Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Baltimore between AA and AAA he appeared in 25 games with a 4.15 ERA. The year before in the Reds system between Adv. A, rook. and AAA he appeared in 15 games with an ERA of 4.06 ERA.Appears to be a depth move, the Mets seem to be bringing in as many unproven lefties as possible and hoping one sticks.#mets sign LHP Bobby Livingston to a minor league deal source Joe DeMayo twitter
