Brandon Nimmo cooled off a little last night, and had his first game without a hit in almost a week. He still leads the Mets organization in hitting with a .411 average.
Travis d’Arnaud will miss some time with a fracture in his foot. Hopefully he won’t need surgery, but the good news is that this kid is ready for the big leagues, so when he does return, don’t be surprised to see him play in a few tune up games and then join the Mets some time after the All-Star break.
Wilmer Flores continues to have a solid season, and it seems like he has been playing in the shadows of d’Arnaud and Zack Wheeler for the first couple of weeks of the season. He hit his first home run of the season last night and added three RBI in Las Vegas’ ...

Everytime I watch Matt Harvey pitch, those words come to mind and it’s not just me. It’s become the Mets Meme on Twitter every time Harvey pitches. It’s brought up mockingly when you’re watching the game with other fans. Who knows, maybe those words give Matt Harvey a little extra motivation to prove SNY’s Matthew Cerrone wrong when he wrote back on March 8, “My bet...
Tom Seaver. Mike Mussina. Roger Clemens. Dwight Gooden.
Matt Harvey has been compared, whether it be stuff, demeanor or franchise history, in some way has been compared to them all.
Yes, it is not fair. Yes, it places unreasonable pressure. But, that’s the nature of covering and following sports. Managers, general managers and players all do it, too.

Unless you have been away from your computer, smart phone, or tablet for the past hour or so, you probably have already heard that Travis d’Arnaud will probably miss up to two months with a fracture in his foot.
This is crushing news, as Mets fans were started to get really excited about seeing the top catching prospect make his Flushing debut...
Since being promoted to the big leagues on July 26, 2012, Matt Harvey has lived up to, and at times, exceeded expectations. The former first round draft pick has become one of the toughest pitchers to hit in the National League since his debut and his confidence is on par with that of a veteran pitcher – a pitcher such as Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman and Dwight Gooden, to name a...
While we were worried about his hitting in Spring Training, the last thing we thought we’d have to worry about from Ruben Tejada was his defense.
Well, after an abysmal start defensively, Tejada (six errors thus far) is causing a lot of headaches for a Mets’ team with little margin for error. Tejada has been the poster boy for bad defense by the Mets. In their first 13 games...
Adam Rubin has reported that Mets top catching prospect Travis d'Arnaud broke his left foot in last night's game for the AAA Las Vegas 51's while pursuing a foul ball. It is not believed that the young catcher will need surgery because the fracture in non-displaced. When asked, Mets skipper Terry Collins said,
" It's part of the game. He's a catcher...

After news broke that Mets top prospect Travis d’Arnaud suffered a non-displaced fracture in the first metarsal bone, it sent fans into a frenzy regarding d’Arnaud’s future with the team. Many people have been saying that it is not in the best interest of the franchise to keep d’Arnaud behind the plate as a catcher. I have heard numerous fans calling for the Mets to move...

The Mets try to take the series today against the Nationals! Last night was a -ahem- Harvelous or Matt-tastic day for the Mets as Matt Harvey dominated the Nationals over 7 innings. Also during the game Ike and...

Lynn Worthy just broke the news on Twitter, that Jake DeGrom will remain with the Binghamton Mets even when Cory Mazzoni comes off the disabled list next week.
Worthy adds that the B-Mets will go with a six-man rotation which is something they did last season as well.
Great news, and DeGrom is exactly where he should have been to start the season.
