Free agent Francisco Rodriguez said he would “definitely” want to return to the New York Mets in order to come back and “redeem himself,” according to Andy Martino of The New York Daily News. K-rod just said he "definitely" wants to come back to mets to "redeem himself" made strong pitch — Andy Martino (@MartinoNYDN) March 6, 2013 While the Mets won’t “totally rule out” bringing Rodriguez back, Martino doesn’t get the feeling that it’s a “front burner issue” at this point. The Mets signed Rodriguez to a lucrative free agent contract following the 2008 season. When they did, the right-hander was considered one of the game’s best closers. In three seasons with the Mets, Rodriguez maintained an ERA of 3.05 while totaling 83 saves. New York eventually traded Rodriguez to the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for a pair of players to be named later. He impressed the Brewers enough at the end of the 2011 season that they agreed to re-sign him for ’12. Unfortunately his success didn’t continue, as he struggled to the tune of a 4.38 ERA over 78 appearances last season. Wright Discusses His Relationship With ACES

Some of you may think of this as an odd post from me as I usually post about the minor leagues or the draft. But I came across this on MLB Trade Rumors and thought it was different and interesting. B.J. Rains is doing a series about why some MLB players chose the agents that they did. This one about David Wright naturally grabbed my attention. As you all know, Wright signed an...

Brewers' Braun hoping to win over fans in WBC

Ryan Braun understands why many people are skeptical of him, given the way his name has twice been linked to performance-enhancing drugs. He refuses to let it bother him. On a sun-splashed field in Arizona, the Brewers slugger said that getting back to spring training has helped him deal with the swirling controversy, and that playing for the U.S. team in the World Baseball Classic...

Juggernaut: The Day My World And The Mets Collided

There’s been a lot of talk this spring about turning points. How this season may become a watershed campaign, kind of like the Mets of the early 80′s when it became obvious the team was on the ups. Baseball itself is a game of turning points. Who knows, the season may feature it’s own change in fortune if things break right when d’Arnaud and Wheeler get the call. It got me...

Milwaukee Brewers 2013 Team Preview

How much of this Brewers season will Ryan Braun be a part of? The biggest storyline for the 2013 Milwaukee Brewers will be whether or not they get a full season of Ryan Braun. There is a rumor circulating that in a few weeks Braun will receive a 50-game PED suspension from the MLB front offices. I used to really enjoy Ryan Braun. But you know something? A quick browse of his career...

While the lack of team success might frustrate their fans, fantasy baseball owners will simply hope that their players will produce. There might not be top-end talent on this...

Brewers GM stung by scorpion in Arizona

The Brewers have already had to deal with their fair share of bad luck this year. Corey Hart hurt his knee working out before spring training even began. Mat Gamel re-tore the ACL he tore last season during the team's first full-squad workout. Aramis Ramirez sprained his knee sliding into second base on a double. A few others have dealt with the soreness and bumps and bruises...

Ike Davis is now in the mix of names being considered for Team USA’s currently vacant first base position for the World Baseball Classic says Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com. In addition...
