The Marlins’ starting rotation has been one of the best in Major League Baseball thus far this season but that has resulted in a 1-7 record after Tuesday’s 3-2 loss to the Atlanta Braves.  Despite six good innings from Wade LeBlanc, Miami’s offense struggled to get much going once again.   The Marlins have been in every game they’ve played this year but have only been able to get into the win column one time. LeBlanc struck out five while walking one and allowed only two runs to earn a quality start.   However, even with a great 3.27 E.R.A the lefty is now 0-2 on the year due to a lack of run support.  A.J. Ramos allowed the other run in the eighth inning which turned out to be the game winner but the young righty did strike out three in his two innings as he looks to rebound from a tough start to the 2013 season.   Jon Rauch worked a perfect ninth to keep the game at one and gave the Marlins a chance to tie it in the ninth. Miami had four hits in the game with all but one being of the single variety.  Placido Polanco picked up his first double of the year in a two hit day for the former All-Star. Giancarlo Stanton’s struggles continued with an 0-3 day that saw his average fall to .154 but on the positive side, the slugger did not strike out in the game.    As a team, Miami was 2-10 with runners in scoring position. Alex Sanabia is scheduled to make his second start of the year on Wednesday in the series finale with Atlanta.
