Miguel Cabrera is nothing short of entertaining, on and off of the baseball field. The latest case of Miggy being Miggy happened during an interview he was giving for the MLB Network’s ‘Intentional Talk’ for which he rocked a throwback Zubaz pair of pants and matching hat. The clothes were supplied by teammate Joba Chamberlain and a few other teammates decided to get into the mix. When you are the best player in baseball, you are afforded a few fashion choices like this. You can watch the full interview with Miggy below in which he chats about being on the cover of MLB 14 The Show which released on Tuesday. Introducing his teammates….Zubaz courtesy of Joba. Sanchez….I have no idea. #tigers #intentionaltalk — Dan Dickerson (@Dan_Dickerson) May 6, 2014 Your browser does not support iframes. Want to see Miguel Cabrera in another weird outfit? Tigers Notes: Ray will start Sunday against Minnesota

DETROIT -- Brad Ausmus will face millions of decisions in his managerial career. Few will be easier than announcing that Robbie Ray will start Sunday's game against Minnesota. "I think, after last night, that was a given," Ausmus said before Wednesday's game. In his major-league debut, Ray allowed one run in 5 1/3 innings as the Tigers routed the Astros. By the...

Cabrera has HR in Ray's debut, Tigers top Astros 11-4

DETROIT (AP) -- Miguel Cabrera homered for his first of four hits and four RBIs, Robbie Ray gave up one run in his debut and the Detroit Tigers routed the Houston Astros 11-4 Tuesday night for their season-high seventh straight win. Houston, which has the worst record in the majors, lost its fourth in a row and sixth in seven games. Cabrera cleared the fences for the third time this...

Detroit Tigers: Scherzer’s hot start could mean trouble

Detroit Tigers pitcher Max Scherzer has been off to a hot start this year following his Cy Young year in 2013. Scherzer leads the American League in ERA with a number of 1.72. With the struggle to produce runs the Tigers will likely face in a lot of games this season, having a low ERA is always beneficial to the team. He also leads the league in another category that isn’t surprising...

Tigers fan pantsed trying to get foul ball

A Detroit Tigers fan had his backside exposed as he leaned over to get a foul ball during Tuesday nights game. While it is easy to laugh at this guy, who would not try to get the foul ball? This guys only mistake is that his buddy next to him pulled on his pant line rather than his around any part of his actual body. Plus the guy got the ball. So who is laughing now? Yea… everyone.

TImetable unclear for Tigers' Anibal Sanchez

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez, on the 15-day DL as of April 27 with a blister on his right middle finger, is healing and he threw a "light" bullpen session of about 50 pitches on Tuesday. However, the timetable for his return is "unclear," report Jason Beck and Matt Slovin of The Tigers do not need a fifth starter until May 20 against...

Game 2014: 29 Astros at Tigers

Well Robbie Ray’s debut was a roaring success, with Tigers knocking Astro pitching all over the place to back him up, and the Tigers now have a 7-game win streak, and at 19-9 the best record in baseball. What a great start, right? Now to match the start of the 1984 team, they only have to win…17 more in a row (that puts 1984 in perspective!) Rick Porcello tries to build on his...

Trading Doug Fister Smart Move For Tigers Future

Last season, anything less than a World Series win was deemed a failure for the Detroit Tigers. However, after skipper Jim Leyland retired, all bets were off. Leland was an old-school manager– he rarely bunted and made substitutions off of feel, not sabermetrics. New manager Brad Ausmus couldn’t be more different- the Tigers have bunted more and stolen more bases in April then...

Tigers fan puts the ‘ass’ in ‘embarrassing’ while trying to wrangle ball (video)

During Tuesday’s tilt between the Detroit Tigers and Houston Astros at Comerica Park, a fan of the hometown ball club very nearly had a horribly traumatizing wardrobe malfunction — not just for him but for everyone — when he almost lost his pants leaning over the railing in an attempt to wrangle a foul ball. […] The post Tigers fan puts the ‘ass’ in ‘embarrassing...

Joba Chamberlain Presents Teammates with Zubaz

I believe it was famed New York Yankees skipper Casey Stengel who, in 1927, once uttered the now-legendary phrase…”a team that wears baggy elastic-waisted pants together, stays together.” And while I might have the year wrong, it’s an adage that remains true today.  Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you…a handful of Chamberlain’s teammates wearing Zubaz. What a crew...

Detroit Tigers Fan Exposes Another Fan’s Rear Going For Foul Ball

The Tigers pulled out an 11-4 win over the Houston Astros on Tuesday night. That wasn’t the only pulling for the night in Detroit as one fan decided to pull another man’s pants off ever so slightly while going for a foul ball. DETROIT (AP) -- Dallas Keuchel outpitched college roommate Drew Smyly, and the Houston Astros edged Detroit 6-2 on Thursday to snap the Tigers' eight-game winning streak. Houston also ended its own five-game losing skid. Keuchel (3-2) allowed two runs and six hits in 7 2-3 innings. Keuchel and Smyly were both on the Arkansas team that reached the College World Series in 2009...
