Mike Lowell Will Retire At Season's End

This will be Mike Lowell's final year in MLB.  Injuries have taken their toll on the 2007 World Series MVP who somehow found a way to finish his career with the Red Sox. “I’m retiring,” Lowell said. “I just don’t want to make it a song and dance because I don’t think that’s necessary, but if someone needs something official, yeah, I’m going to retire. This is going to be my last year.” This gives Red Sox fans another reason to watch the remaining games of the season.
