The Outside Corner:
There was a very scary moment in Lakeland today during the Blue Jays-Tigers game. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Jeff Kobernus of the Tigers hit a fly ball to right center field. Right fielder Ryan Langerhans camped under the ball preparing to make the catch, but center fielder Mike McCoy barreled in from his position in center and smashed into Langerhans. Amazingly, Langerhans held onto the ball for the third out in the inning.
During the collision, McCoy's quad smashed into Langerhans' knee. Langerhans popped up pretty quickly and remained in the game, while McCoy was down for a bit before being helped off the field by trainers. McCoy suffered a bruised left quad during the collision, and he should be thankful things weren't worse.

2012 was a disaster for the Jays. Along with the injury to Jose Bautista the rotation was a total mess. The Blue Jays had twelve pitchers make at least two starts but unlike the Orioles, most were not effective. All due respect, but you aren’t going to have a great season when Henderson Alvarez, Carlos Villanueva, Aaron Laffey, Kyle Drabek, Drew Hutchison...
Seems the Phillies grew tired of Michael Schwimer schtick and decided to part ways with him yesterday by shipping him north of the border to America's hat (aka- Canada). He has annoyed/angered the organization over the past two seasons with tweets about not being called up from the minors when he believed was the right time and his grievance against them for shipping him back...
Toronto Blue Jays 2 — New York Yankees 0
The Yankees lost more than just a 2-0 game to the Toronto Blue Jays.
In Curtis Granderson’s first at-bat of Spring Training, Blue Jays pitcher J.A. Happ threw an inside pitch that hit the power-hitting outfielder. He was removed from the game and sent for a precautionary x-ray. The initial report was a bruised right forearm but the...
(Philliedelphia/Danielle Wilson) Per multiple sources, it has been confirmed that relief pitcher Michael Schwimer has been traded to the Toronto Blue Jays for minor league first baseman Art Charles. Schwimer, scheduled to pitch in today's spring training game against the Astros, packed his bag after the game upon hearing the...
