Shelby Miller is expected to contend for the St. Louis Cardinals rotation.
Miller is a highly-regarded top prospect in baseball. He spent last season at Single-A Palm Beach and Double-A Springfield.
He went 2-3 in 53 innings with a 2.88 ERA with Palm Beach. He went 9-3 in 86.2 innings with a 2.70 ERA.
If he fails to make the rotation, he will be optioned to Triple-A Memphis. But he could return to the Cardinals with a strong summer.
