Found March 30, 2009 on Another Cubs Blog:
Bradley was 3-3 today with a walk in a game that the Cubs currently trail 8-5 in the 9th inning. Make that 8-7 as Kosuke Fukudome just hit a 2-run home run. On the spring, Milton Bradley has now had 47 plate appearances and he’s reached base in 26 of them. Let’s start over. Milton Bradley is now 4-4 with a walk today and the Cubs currently trail 8-7 in the 9th inning (update: they tied it 8-8). Bradley doubled in his 5th plate appearance in the 9th inning. Bradley has had 48 plate appearances this spring and has reached base in 27 of them. Only 19 times this entire spring has Milton Bradley not reached base. He has 5 doubles, 4 home runs, 5 walks and 5 strikeouts. In honor of Milton’s spring, we’ve added a new logo to the site that you’ve already seen. FonteYes was the one who put it together, but we’ll show it throughout the year when MB stands out. As many of you remember, we change the logo around here during the season from time to time and this is a pretty good one.

  • Stop rubbing it in. I was disappointed when the Dodgers traded Bradley, when at the time he was their best power hitter, if not their only, but they had their dumb reasons. In exchange we got minor league Andre Ethier whom I hope is nearly as good as Bradley, in time. Now we have Manny, times have changed.
