Louisville won 6-4. Box Score Jason Donald went 4-5 with 2 doubles, an RBI and a run. Henry Rodriguez went 1-4 with a walk. Mike Hessman went 0-2 with a walk and 2 RBI. Felix Perez went 1-3 with a run and a walk. Konrad Schmidt went 1-4 with a double, RBI and a run. Krisopher Negron went 1-2 with 2 walks and a run. Josh Fellhauer went 1-1 as a pinch hitter. Chad Reineke threw 4 hitless innings with a walk and 4 strikeouts. Game Notes Greg Reynolds made the start and walked 4 in 4 innings with 3 runs before giving way to Reineke. It will be interesting to see if they are working on a piggyback type of system in this spot in the rotation this season. Billy Hamilton sat out, but coached first base. Jason Donald had a strong game with four hits, including the two doubles. Pensacola lost 9-1 in 12 innings. Box Score Devin Lohman went 1-4 with a walk. Steve Selsky went 2-4 with a walk and an RBI. Tim Crabbe allowed a run in 5 innings with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. Yohan Pino threw 3 shutout innings of relief with 2 strikeouts. Drew Hayes threw a hitless inning with a walk and 2 strikeouts. Curtis Partch threw a shutout inning with a strikeout. Game Notes The game was tied at 1 going into the top of the 12th inning before the game fell apart. The first batter walked. That was followed by an error on a sac bunt attempt, an intentional walk, three singles with an error on one of them, a walk, a hit by a pitch, a strikeout, a double, another strikeout, a walk, a single and finally the third out of the inning. Bakersfield lost 7-3. Box Score Michael Gilmartin went 2-4 with a solo HR (1). Juan Duran went 1-4 with a run. Sean Buckley went 1-4 with an RBI. Yovan Gonzalez went 1-4 with an RBI. Jimmy Moran allowed a run in 2 innings with a walk and 4 strikeouts. Game Notes Jon Moscot started the game for the Blaze. He allowed 4 runs in 3.2 innings with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. He was not pleased with the strikezone being called during the game, showing frustration several times. Michael Gilmart led off the game with a solo HR. Yorman Rodriguez was hitless in the game, but he did something he hadn’t done since July of 2011. Rodriguez drew two walks in a game. He didn’t do that at all in 2012. Dayton won 8-3. Box Score Robert Ramirez went 1-4 with 2 RBI and a run. Joe Hudson went 1-4 with 2 runs. Carlos Sanchez went 2-3 with a double, walk, RBI and 2 runs. Brent Peterson went 3-3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs. Drew Cisco allowed 3 hits in 6 innings with a walk and 8 strikeouts. Jesus Adames threw 2 shutout innings with 2 strikeouts. Game Notes Drew Cisco looked outstanding. He allowed a solo home run on a pitch up in the zone, but was very strong outside of that. Carlos Sanchez kept up his quick start with another two hits. He is hitting .455 so far.
