Bradenton is two games back in their division, with 11 games left. West Virginia is a 1.5 games out in their division, with 11 games left on the season. Indianapolis has an 11 game lead in their division with 12 games left to their schedule.  The GCL Pirates have four games(counting the completion of yesterday’s game) left and both DSL affiliates have three games left in their regular season. Von Rosenberg has struggled as of late, after a strong July

Triple-A: Indianapolis (79-53) vs Louisville (50-83) 7:05pm
Probable starter: Phil Irwin (0-0 4.50)

Phil Irwin will get his second start for Indianapolis tonight. In his first start, Phil went four innings, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks, while striking out eight batters. Phil pitched the majority of the season with Altoona this year(he also made a rehab start for Bradenton), making 16 starts and two relief appearances. In 104.1 innings for the Curve, he allowed 97 hits, seven homers and 17 walks, while striking out 83 and posting a 1.64 GO/AO ratio.

Double-A: Altoona (62-67) vs Richmond (66-64 ) 7:05pm
Probable starter: Tyler Waldron (1-1 6.75)

Yesterday’s Result:  Altoona 14 Trenton 2 (game story)

Tyler Waldron will make his fourth start for Altoona. His last outing was his best, five innings with one run allowed. In his first two starts, Tyler gave up eight runs over seven innings of work. He began the season with Bradenton, where he went 7-8 5.09 in twenty starts and two relief appearances. He pitched 115 innings, giving up 143 hits, 11 homers, 29 walks and he had 73 strikeouts. On the year, he has a 1.40 GO/AO ratio.

No starter has been named yet for Bradenton. Of their 11 games left this season, four are against today’s opponent, Ft Myers. Zack Von Rosenberg will make his 15th start of the year tonight. He has pitched a total of 66.2 innings, allowing 76 hits, nine homers, 22 walks and he has 51 strikeouts. In four August starts, he has a 9.43 ERA in 16 innings, allowing a total of 33 baserunners. Zack is 1-1 6.84 in six home starts. Seven of his last ten starts have come on the road. Adrian Sampson will make his eighth start of the season tonight. He has also pitched twice in relief. In 33.1 innings, he has given up 30 hits, two homers, 11 walks and he has a team leading 36 strikeouts. Adrian has a 1.00 GO/AO ratio and a .236 BAA. In his last start, he went 4.2 innings, allowing just an unearned run, on three hits and two walks, with four strikeouts. He has allowed more than two runs in just one of his outings.
