Jamestown will finish their game from 6/27 prior to the start of today’s regularly scheduled game. West Virginia had their regularly scheduled game from yesterday and makeup game from the day before, postponed due to weather.  The Power have off today. Altoona has a noon start time today. Rodriguez has had two strikeouts in each of his three Bradenton starts AAA: Indianapolis (58-34) @ Columbus (41-50) 7:05pm Probable starter:  Brandon Cumpton (4-5, 3.71) Yesterday’s Result: Toledo 9, Indianapolis 7 Brandon Cumpton will make his 17th start of the season tonight. He has started 11 games for Indianapolis, three for the Pirates and twice for Altoona. He went 0-1, 4.02 in 15.2 innings for the Pirates. For Indianapolis, he has thrown 70.1 innings, allowing 67 hits, four homers and 24 walks, with 55 strikeouts and a 2.89 GO/AO ratio. In his last start for Indy, he gave up six runs(five earned) on eight hits and two walks in five innings. AA: Altoona (39-49) vs Erie (45-42) 12:00pm Probable starter: David Bromberg (4-8, 3.38) Yesterday’s Result: Erie 3, Altoona 1 David Bromberg will make his 13th start of the season today. He has also pitched five times in relief. As a starter, he has gone 3-7, 3.04 in 68 innings, allowing 60 hits, four homers and 30 walks, with 71 strikeouts, a 1.00 GO/AO ratio and a .244 BAA. At home, he is 2-3, 3.18 in 39.2 innings. Bromberg ranks seventh in the Eastern League and second on Altoona in strikeouts, trailing Jameson Taillon, who surpassed him for the team lead yesterday. High-A: Bradenton (32-52 overall, 6-10 2nd half) vs Charlotte (39-45) 6:30pm Probable starter: Joely Rodriguez (0-2, 2.93) Yesterday’s Result: Charlotte 9, Bradenton 6 Joely Rodriguez will make his fourth start for Bradenton tonight. In his first game, he went five innings, giving up three runs on five hits, one walk and he struck out two batters. In his second outing, Rodriguez went 5.1 innings, allowing two earned runs on seven hits and one walk, with two strikeouts. In his last start, he went five innings, giving up two unearned runs on three hits and three walks.With West Virginia, he went 5-5, 2.72 in 14 starts, with 57 strikeouts, a 2.15 GO/AO ratio and a .280 BAA. Low-A: West Virginia (45-41 overall, 8-8 2nd half) @ Kannapolis (34-51) 7:05pm 7/9 Probable starter: Tyler Glasnow (4-2, 2.69) Yesterday’s Result: West Virginia was postponed yesterday Tyler Glasnow will make his 17th start of the season tomorrow. He has pitched a total of 70.1 innings, allowing 37 hits, seven homers and 42 walks. Glasnow has 103 strikeouts, an 0.94 GO/AO ratio and .153 BAA. In his last start, he allowed three runs on three hits and three walks, picking up just his second loss of the season. At home this season, he is 2-1, 2.23 in eight starts. Glasnow is second in the South Atlantic League in strikeouts and he ranks first overall in the Pirates minor league system. Short-Season A: Jamestown (13-6) vs Batavia (8-10) 5:05pm DH Probable Starter: Isaac Sanchez (1-0, 2.70) and Shane Carle (0-0, 5.40) Yesterday’s Result: Jamestown 10, Batavia 3 Isaac Sanchez will make his fourth start of the season. He has pitched a total of ten innings, allowing ten hits, one homer and five walks. Sanchez has 11 strikeouts and a 3.25 GO/AO ratio. In his last start, he lasted just two innings, giving up two runs on six hits, while striking out five batters. Last year, he had a 3.00 ERA in 24 innings in the GCL. He also pitched three times for State College, giving up six runs on eight hits in four innings. Shane Carle is scheduled to pitch the other game today. He has pitched four times this year, once as a starter. In his only start, he went four innings, giving up three runs on seven hits and a walk. The 10th round draft pick from this year, has pitched ten innings total, allowing 12 hits, two homers, one walk and he has seven strikeouts. Rookie:  GCL Pirates (7-6) vs GCL Yankees1 (5-6) 12:00pm Probable Starter:  Cesilio Pimentel (0-0, 1.35) Yesterday’s Result: Pirates were off yesterday Cesilio Pimentel will make his third start of the season today. In his first game, he went 2.2 innings, allowing two runs(one earned) on three hits and one walk, with no strikeouts. In his second start, Pimentel went four innings, giving up one unearned run on one hit, two walks and he picked up five strikeouts. He pitched in the DSL last year, going 3-3, 2.75 in six starts and eight relief appearances.
